HIGH COLONIC MARTINI
If there’s one surefire way to guarantee:
a) your “grown-up drink” will be something that’s good for your digestive system
b) you won’t over drink
this self-limiting recipe, by nature, is a tasteful fit.

INGREDIENTS
2 oz. VODKA
4 oz. PRUNE JUICE, chilled
ICE
OPTIONAL INGREDIENTS
1 quarter LEMON, halved
1 Tablespoon SUGAR
PRUNES, for garnish
DIRECTIONS FOR MARTINI
Put several cubes of ice in a cocktail shaker.
Add vodka and prune juice.
Shake until thoroughly mixed and container feels very cold (about 15 seconds).
Pour drink into lemon-sugar rimmed martini glass and garnish with slice of lemon, if using.
Sprinkle a dash of salt over the drink, if desired.
Add prunes on a toothpick (can be rolled in sugar first).
DIRECTIONS FOR GARNISHES
Put sugar on a flat plate.
Take one slice of lemon and rub it around the rim of your glass.
Roll the rim of the glass in the sugar.
Place prunes on a toothpick (can be rolled in sugar first).

There is a drink called, of all things, a Constipated Cowboy. It’s similar to this one but, in place of vodka, it has whiskey. Since that type of alcohol can be bothersome for many, regardless of where they fall on the gluten spectrum, I leave it to you to play around with ratios. If nothing else, it’s certainly a great name!
